It's time for a magical tea party

It's tea time!
It's a magical, wondrous, delightful time
that has been brought together by the lovely Vanessa from a fanciful twist.
Please be sure to visit Vanessa's magnificent blog for some tea time treats
and do also visit all of the other blog tea parties
but now you must quickly take your seats.

The White Rabbit has a very important announcement to make!

He is sounding his horn!
Hurry now
 sit down.
You can sit right here by me.

Here ye, here ye!
By proclamation of the Queen,
we join together on this day with glee

for a wondrous party with tarts
 and with tea.

and now I present to you
The Queen of Hearts.

Why yes,
we'll have tea at this party for me.

 The Queen of Hearts!

It's my birthday today
 in these here parts

I am Queen on this day
 but then again,
I am Queen everyday.

I do enjoy a good birthday with tea.

I love my birthday with tea and hearts.

with happy hearts

with shiny hearts

and especially with dotted hearts.

I also like my tea with tarts,

strawberry tarts to be exact.

There are strawberries

strewn all about

but none atop a single tart.

 The Queen
 does not like
when her tarts
are not here.
 Oh dear,
I fear
someone made
my sweet tarts
disappear.

Oh well, I'm ready for my tasty tea
but there will be no eggs for me.

I do enjoy my tea with cream

some tea with cream.

Please!
 For the Queen.

My King,
he likes his tea just black.

No sugar!

No cream!

Not at all like the Queen!

Not  lemon or
even sweet honey
from
a buzzing bee.

You see
he is not at all like me

but we do
both enjoy
our

Royal Tea!

I truly hope you enjoyed having tea with her majesty.
and if you've seen
  those missing tarts
be sure to alert the Queen of Hearts .

Happy tea time to all of you lovely blog party attendees.
Ta! Ta!

Art Journaling fun

I get together once a month with a group of ladies for a altered book round robin.
Here is one of the books that I worked on.

I did 2 separate spreads.
Her book theme was lettering or type.
So, anything with interesting fonts, words or letters was acceptable for this book.
On this spread I created two doors that opened with secret compartments and messages.

These are so much fun to work on.
It can be a challenge to work in a theme that is something you might not have chosen on your own but it really stretches you as an artist.  I've seen everybody's art improve after working in these books for a year.
