More painted walls

Here is an oversized chair rail design that I came up with for a teenage girls bedroom.

The purple and green color palette was chosen from the girl's new bedding and I thought that it would be fun to pull this pattern into the room to enhance the whimsical quality of the fabric.

The white gives a nice break from the vibrant colors and the shading in the swirls really ties the colors together.

I used painters tape to create the white border
and then took white chalk to draw in swirling pattern around the room.

This was another fun free-form design.
I love working in this way.
I think it gives a wall treatment more of an artistic feel.
