Fabulous Kim Parker's fashions for the home

I was sitting in front of my computer thinking about flowers and how beautifully delicate they are.

Thinking about how much I love all flowers,

how different and lovely they all are,
how they smell so sweet
how the petals feel so velvety and soft
and shimmery in the light.

Then in mid thought,
 I looked up
and noticed a Kim Parker print that I have hanging on the wall
above my computer.

I wonder if this image subconsciously inspired my flowery thoughts.

Well, once I looked at the print,
my mind went down the Kim Parker path.

Her botanical designs are very lyrical and beautifully composed.

 They are a delight
and so very rich and complex
yet simple and fresh at the same time.

 She is
as lovely a person
 as are
her magical creations.

Several years ago,
I had an opportunity to work with Kim
 on a make-over project.
I can't tell you what a truly darling person she is
and how wonderful it was to collaborate with her.

So here is my little tribute
to a talented,
 delightful
and
down-to-earth
artist!

Please go visit Miss Kim's website

You can do so by clicking on the link below.

Enjoy the flowery fun!

Fancy ring

I found the most exquisite little jewelry shop in Galena Illinois. I promised my husband that I would just pop in and right out. Honest honey, I'll only be a minute.
Hah!!
I was sucked right in, eyes glazed over, drooling and hynotized by the amazing creations. I ended up talking to the shop attendant who was a co-creator/photographer/male model and painter. He explained the jewelry making process and we ended up talking about art, photography, etc and I was completely taken by everything in the shop. Time had completely slipped away from me when I noticed my patient husband walking in the door looking for me and saying something like "So are we going to eat?" I didn't want to make him wait any longer but I couldn't leave without bringing a piece of beauty home with me. So, I quickly decided upon this sweet butterfly ring.
My camera refuses to take nice close-up shots so I borrowed an image from their shops website to share the ring details more closely.
By the way, The shop is called 1 of my kind jewels and the website is http://www.jodymcgill.com/

Here is one of her delicate necklaces.
I think it is so lovely.

Oh, and I musn't forget to share the fabulously ghoulish news! Please join in the Halloween fesivities hosted by A fanciful Twist. Be sure to stop by here as well for I will be participating in the Hauntingly Magical Celebration. With a give away or two.

Oh, and speaking of giveaways, I'm quickly approaching my 200th post
(like, it's my next post)
and
I'll be doing a lovely little give away as well.
So check back on Wednesday, after the labor day holiday, for my 200th post celebration!
Yippiee!!!
