I was doing an outdoor show this summer when a woman approached my booth with a big smile on her face. She was very excited about the artwork that I had displayed and asked if I would be interested in painting my images on the doors of Chicago's Nettelhorst school. She happened to be a parent who is very involved in bringing the arts to the this amazing magnet school. I agreed to take on the project and I'm glad I did because it was such a blast. I started working on the doors the week before school started. While doing so, I had the good fortune of meeting a few of the students who happened to be playing near by. They watched me work for a while, helped out here and there and thanked me for painting the doors of their school. It made my heart smile to hear them say that. I could sense just how much these children loved their school. They were too cute!
Anyway, I'm so thrilled that my creations will greet the children every morning as they enter the building. I really hope that they enjoy the whimsical, light hearted images that I painted for them.

Thank you Jen. That really means so much to me. I took me forever to pick a color scheme and I'm pretty pleased with the way it turned out.
Thank you Some Pink Flowers your comments always make me laugh. I haven't seen children wearing big bows and beanies in years. It's about time that these fashion accessories make a major come back. Glad we agree on this;)
