Well, this is my Green post for IF and here are some green facts from wikipedia for your reading enjoyment.
Green is the color symbolizing earth, nature, and in a broader sense, life. It is thought to be an unlucky color in British cultures, where green cars, wedding dresses, and theatre costumes are all the objects of superstition. The color green is often used as a symbol of sickness. Cartoons often show a character as being sick with a green face.
People who are feeling ill are sometimes referred to as "green around the gills".

I think we all know that the emotion of envy is traditionally symbolized by the color green, but I thought that I would include it in here for anyone who may have forgotten this fact.
And for those of you who didn't know, Green is my Father's favorite color. It's the color of swamps, moss, fungus, frogs and it can be a beautiful color when you see it's radiant glow in an emerald or not so beautiful when you see a green bird poop on your windshield.

Thanks everyone! Chatrabbit to answer your question, the frame is real. It was originally blue so I painted it to go with the image. It is titled "About Face" this piece actually has a different face painted on each side of the watercolor paper. It can be switched out for a different look. The other face goes in the opposite direction and has a very big smile.
So expressive! It makes me smile. I really like how the frame give the character big ears. Lovely!
I've also read that green is considered a healing color. So, painting a wall green or a green bed spread is good for the ailing.
Debbie ~ Super job! Thanks for all the info on green. Green veggies are especially good for us, too - Your illo looks like he could speak - very nice work!

Very iconic and ornate! Very nicely done. Oh, is there a significance of why one eye has an iris and the other doesn't?
